I'm so excited to be joining the special education department at Ascent. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in K-12 special education. This is my eighth year of teaching. I have also traveled extensively around Asia while teaching English in South Korea. Spending time with my two grown sons is a high priority for me, and I'm looking forward to being a first time grandparent (It's a girl!). I am passionate about special education and ensuring that every student gets the help that they need to thrive both academically and personally. My hobbies include writing novels and poetry, landscape photography, eclectic music, and movies that make me think. I live in Provo with my youngest son and a wonderful calico cat.
