"My passion for helping people with disabilities began in high school when I volunteered to help in various classroom settings as a peer tutor. As an undergraduate student at Utah Valley University, I pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology while interning for a clinical director and board certified behavior analyst. During this time, I offered residential, medical, and behavioral services to my clientele. Recently, I graduated from my Master’s program at Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College. My major was in Applied Behavior Analysis and Special Education.
I am very excited to be given the opportunity to act as the Special Education Behavior Specialist at Ascent Academies of Utah's Lehi Campus for another school year. In the past, I helped adults with autism, traumatic brain injuries, and intellectual disorders achieve their behavioral goals. Now, I help young learners to develop skill acquisition and be successful in their learning environment while developing appropriate replacement behaviors and coping skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, classic literature, sketching, and spending time with my dogs and loved ones."
