I have worked as an SLP for more than 25 years, and I love it!
I became a Speech-Language Pathologist because I want to help students with difficulties in communication improve their ability to communicate and interact with others successfully. I love helping students realize their potential, work hard to achieve, and then succeed beyond what they thought was possible.
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, I have worked in many different settings: from the hospital settings to the public/private school settings and everywhere in between. I have also worked with all ages, from infants to geriatrics, but my favorite is school-aged children.
I love the learning environment, the students, parents, administration, and the staff at Ascent Academies. It is a wonderful, positive, supportive environment for learning.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling, cooking, and sports, especially golf!
