Parker Rincon Jensen

Science

I grew up in Utah Valley, where I developed an abiding love of the land by exploring the Wasatch mountains, hauling hay, and tending to a neighbor's orchard. I recently graduated from BYU Provo with my B.S. in Physiology and Developmental Biology with a minor in Gerontology. During my undergraduate I performed research into the metabolic causes of osteoarthritis and served for two years as the president of the BYU Shakespeare Society. I have a passion for outdoor rock climbing, canyoneering, performing arts, and languages (I'm fluent in Spanish and Italian and am currently working on Russian). I'm a first year teacher and am excited to share my passion for the sciences with your kids. Beyond opening up doors to fulfilling and meaningful careers, I believe that a knowledge of science opens students to a broader, more beautiful perspective about the world and their place in it.
