Open Enrollment (OE) for the 2023-2024 school year will begin on October 31, 2022, at 10 AM.
Only enroll your student in the lottery for the campus at which you intend your student to attend. Enrolling at multiple campuses will not increase your chances of being accepted to the AAU campus of your choice.
The AAU Lehi campus may enroll 816 students. Each K-6 grade will have room for 78 students and grades 7-9 will have positions for 90 students in each grade.
If the number of student applications exceeds the number of positions available at AAU, students will be randomly chosen to fill available positions; this process is referred to as a lottery. All applicants in the lottery pool will be considered, and a computerized lottery program will randomly select students. Every effort will be made to accept all siblings in an individual family, but this may not be possible due to the cap on class sizes and the lottery process. Siblings of students currently in the school will be given preference if openings become available.
Once you have submitted an application for your student(s) to attend AAU, your child’s application will be held in the lottery pool until a vacancy is available or the Open Enrollment period ends. The lottery will be held after each Open Enrollment period. Families will be notified via e-mail of their child’s acceptance into the school through the computerized lottery program. Families selected will be notified of the next steps in the registration process and the timeline they will need to follow. If you do not receive a notice of enrollment after you submit your application, please assume nothing has changed in regard to your student’s enrollment status or log in to the enrollment portal to check status.
Completion and submission of an enrollment application does not guarantee admission to, or constitute acceptance in, Ascent Academies of Utah. Please be sure to fill out ALL appropriate information and requested fields before you submit the application. Be sure to double-check grades, phone numbers, and email addresses. It is imperative that all information is complete and accurate. Be sure to record your confirmation number which allows you to update important changes as they become necessary. This will also be e-mailed to you automatically.
