Special Education

I grew up as a son of an Air Force serviceman and attended seven schools before I graduated from American High School in Fremont, California. Go Eagles!

In the 90’s, I went on to college and attended California State University, Sacramento where I graduated from Sac State with a BA degree in Government/International Relations.  A couple of highlights from my college life include representing Sac State at the Model United Nations in New York, NY and leading a delegation at the European Model United Nations at The Haag, Netherlands.

I took on my first full time teaching position at Centerville Junior High School in Fremont, California working with students who had emotional and social disabilities.  My second teaching gig landed me in Floresville, Texas where I taught at risk high school students at Floresville High School. Go Floresville Tigers.

After living in Texas for 10 years my wife and family decided to move to the land of mountains, canyons and dry air.  We thought Utah would be a choice destination to plant roots. I took a job at West Jordan Middle School working in the Special Education department and had a blast preparing students with disabilities for their high school careers.

My wife and I have been married for 25 years and we have three daughters and a son.  This is my third year teaching at Ascent Academy in Lehi. I look forward to a wonderful, engaging and productive 2019-2020 school year.  Go Huskies!
