Hello Ascent families! I am the K-6 Physical Education teacher. I am thrilled to work and play with your students this year!

PE is incredibly important for all students, but I especially love working with younger children. If kids can develop a love of movement at a young age, it will impact the rest of their lives! 

I grew up in Kansas and have loved exercise, especially running, since I was a little girl! Running has remained a lifelong hobby, and I’ve found new interests in mountain biking and snowboarding since moving to Utah for college. When I’m out of school on the weekends, you’ll often find me doing one of these activities with my husband! When I’m not doing something active, I love to cook and bake, especially a good chocolate cake!  

I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2023 with a BS in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching and a minor in School Health Education. I feel blessed to be kicking off my teaching career at Ascent!
