I have always wanted to be a teacher. Even when I was little, I played "school" and my younger brothers and sister were my students. Prior to coming to Ascent Academy Lehi, I worked part-time in the Davis School District teaching small-group classes for high-ability students in grades 2-6. After that, I taught middle school English and History at Mountainville Academy in Alpine. 

I have six children--one girl and five boys. We like to camp, hike, and ride 4-wheelers (basically anything outdoors). We're also a track family. I have attended many track meets, rain or shine, to support my kids in their various events. I enjoy gardening, biking, and reading. I also love to travel. I have been to London, the Caribbean, Paris, Marrakech, Switzerland, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Montreal, Seoul, and Alaska. I'm always planning my next trip!
