Hello! My name is Rebecca Jones, and I'm excited to be joining Ascent Academy as a new teacher this year. I graduated from BYU with a degree in Early Childhood Education and have experience teaching kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. After taking some time off to be at home with my family, I'm thrilled to be back in the classroom.

Originally from Utah, my family and I temporarily relocated to Arizona while my husband completed his PhD at ASU. We loved exploring the desert landscape, and I've since acquired quite a collection of cactus-themed items. While we enjoyed our time in Arizona, we're thrilled to be back in Utah and to have the opportunity to join the wonderful community at Ascent Academy.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love hiking, camping, and visiting our relatives in other states, including Washington and Arizona. Disneyland and the beach are two of our favorite vacation spots, and I'm a huge Disney and Harry Potter fan. In my free time, I also enjoy creative activities like sewing, quilting, and playing the piano, as well as reading and watching TV and movies.
